At our Hoover Store Location we raise money for this beautiful organization called, The Angel Squad at UAB Kirklin Clinic Cancer Center.  They are a group of ladies that volunteer their time at the Clinic. Their mission is to be "angels" to ladies going through breast cancer by providing hope, comfort & compassion to breast cancer patients.

At our Auburn Store Location we raise money for the local East Alabama Medical Center Foundation Cancer Center Breast Fund that provides mamograms and other needed services for un-insured and under-insured local women.

We will be raising money this week in two ways

Our Past events:

Hope Floats 2015. A Celebration of Hope

But as for me, I will always have Hope psalm 71:14

Cancer.  It shatters perfect lives and affects so many that we love.  We have friends that walk into Wrapsody daily and share a heart-wrenching story of a loved one with Cancer. We are motivated by each story and inspired by those survivors that fight this battle every moment of their life. This is an opportunity to celebrate each survivor, each fighter and each angel that has blessed all of our lives.

Our Survivors have taught us that Cancer can come into their body and yet make a person stronger; that it is possible to understand life more deeply and to live more passionately.  Our Angels have given each of us a gift: a gift of their life, their testimony, their spirit and it teaches us to live each day with purpose and significance.  Both have inspired us with faith, fighting spirits and Hope….. Because of you our Hope Floats Campaign was born and grows stronger every year.

Hope Floats is an annual Celebration of Hope and Fundraiser at Hoover and Auburn. Because we want all the funds to benefit local organizations and ladieseach store raises money for an organization in that community.

Hoover raises money for the local group, the Angel Squad at UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center.  They are a beautiful group of dedicated volunteers that provide hope, comfort and compassionate services to breast cancer patients going through treatment at the Kirklin Clinic.  Most of these Angels are actually survivors themselves.  For more than 10 years, the Angel Squad has provided one-on-one support and served as advocates for each patient and caregiver who visits the Breast Health Center and Mammography Unit.  This year we want to continue to raise much needed funds for these ladies that do so much for those in need.

Auburn raises money for the East Alabama Medical Center Foundation Breast Fund.  This fund goes to assist ladies in need that are battling breast cancer currently as well as providing free mammograms for those needing one.

Hope Floats will begin October 1st and culminate with our Celebration and PINKnic on October 19th at both our store locations. The Balloon is a symbol of our event but we will not be releasing balloons this year.

Donations/gifts can be made by purchasing a Hope Floats T-shirt, Koozie and a honorary or memoriam ribbon.  New to our event this year is a donation/gift of $20 that enters you (or someone you love) into a Drawing for a $1,000 gift card to Wrapsody. With the donation you will receive a sack lunch from Chicken Salad Chick and raffle ticket. The winner will be announced at our Celebration on Monday, October 19th at noon.

All proceeds go directly to the Angel Squad and EAMC Foundation Breast fund to directly impact local ladies that are presently battling Breast Cancer.

Because of you we have Hope…..Because of your generosity others can have Hope….
